Specifically designed for your various therapy needs, the sophisticated Summa Health Centers at Anna Dean and at Lake Anna each provide a warm and caring atmosphere for your outpatient physical rehabilitation treatment. In addition to the state-of-the-art equipment, each Center features an onsite climate-controlled therapy pool. The warm water environment is excellent for the treatment of various problems and diagnoses including arthritis, fibromyalgia, and low back pain.

With a fully licensed staff, we are skilled in working with a variety of orthopedic and neurologic clients from adolescents to geriatrics. Together, with you and your physician, we will work to develop a customized rehabilitation program utilizing occupational, hand and/or physical therapy.

Our Center at Anna Dean also offers treatment for Lymphedema, a swelling in one or more of the extremities, that often occurs following surgical intervention, trauma, radiation, infection, cancer or scarring. It may also be seen following treatment for breast cancer. It can also occur when the lymphatic system is poorly developed. Presently there is no cure for Lymphedema, however, it can be controlled. Some ways to manage this condition include education in preventative skin care techniques, specialized lymph drainage massage, compression bandaging to stimulate fluid removal, and use of compression garments, such as an elasticized sleeve, stocking or glove.
