Center for Cardiovascular Services

After many years of planning, our comprehensive cardiac services program is now a reality.

To provide this comprehensive cardiac care, we recruited additional experienced cardiologists, surgeons, nurses and technologists from some of the finest cardiac programs in the region to enhance our already excellent team of staff professionals. The clinical and medical staffs associated with it bring over 1200 years of service in their respective fields.

We invested in state-of-the-art digital imaging technology in our Cardiac Catheterization and Peripheral Angiography suites. We renovated and re-equipped two operating rooms with the latest in lighting, surgical instrumentation and monitoring specifically for cardiac surgery. There are two state-of-the-art catherization labs and one operating suite designed specifically for the open heart patient. Our cardiovascular and pulmonary diagnostic and rehabilitation facilities complete our cardiac program.

Today, you can be diagnosed; treated with the non-invasive, interventional or surgical procedure needed; and receive the therapy you need to pick up the rhythm of your lives – all without leaving the warm, supportive atmosphere of your community hospital.

The Device Clinic
The Device Clinic provides periodic checkups of pacemakers and defibrillators and diagnoses malfunctions. Professionally trained staff members are available for consultation by calling 330-615-3917.

Cardio-Pulmonary Rehabilitation
Cardio-Pulmonary Rehabilitation can show you a better way of living when disorders of the heart or lungs affect your everyday life. Individually tailored programs of therapy, exercise, education and emotional support provide you with the tools to help stabilize or reverse your condition. Call 330-615-3934.

Caring Hearts Support Group
Caring Hearts is a free and informative support group for Congestive Heart Failure patients and their families, held the second Tuesday of each month from 2 to 3 p.m., in the BH Cardiac Rehab Gym, on the hospital ground floor during the following months: March, April, May, September, October, and November. Healthy Heart Lectures
Healthy Heart Lecture series is a free monthly program featuring area physicians and BH clinical staff. Topics focus on cardiac issues. Lectures are held on the third Tuesday of each month from 6 to 7 p.m., in the Conference Room D & E, on the hospital ground floor during the following months: in February, March, April, May, September, October and November.
